2021 Wrapped
2021 Reflection
You know how Spotify does their year wrapped; well, that is what this blog will be about. I was reflecting on what 2021 brought me and how I am rounding out this year in such a massive place.
So, I wanted to take some time to reflect on those intentions that I set for 2021 and really amp you up to kick off vision casting your 2022.
Firstly, if you haven't yet, take a second to review the memories and moments that you captured each month throughout the past year. This will give you a good idea of how you spent your year, which big and small moments occurred that were in alignment with your intentions for 2021, and take a second to celebrate those!
I personally don't do well with resolutions or specific goals; in fact, I tend to rebel against any rules or guidelines. Instead, I work with vision and intention, and I leave the details to the Universe, so I like to set a word of intention for the year that will guide me on my path.
As I reflect, 2021 started ambitious, simply because my Guides gave me three words of intent for the year.
2021 Intentions
My first word for 2021 was expansion, which, let me tell you, was very audacious. The reason is that expansion cracks you out of your shell and makes you grow in uncomfortable ways, and pushes you beyond your fears; expansion will literally shift you into new skin, and that is precisely what this word did for me in 2021.
A little warning for all those of you who may be considering this word for 2022, it is not going to be comfortable. Has it been transformational and completely moved my life? Absolutely. Have I done more with my life because of this word? Absolutely.
My second word was joy. I tend to be a fairly serious person, so it can take a fair amount of effort to be playful, seek out, and sit in joy. So, I really wanted to bring more joy into my life without holding a sense of guilt that I cannot be in joy for too long or something terrible will happen, a.k.a trauma response.
So, I trained my body, mind, and spirit to get comfortable sitting in joy. This word allowed me to be unattached to outcomes, which was incredibly expansive. It allowed me to be in the present moment and find happiness within the details. Finding joy is a daily practice because I am not attuned to finding that feeling. I wanted to find joy in the mundane.
It has helped me be authentic in my truth because I would investigate and witness the beauty. You can witness the joy if you give yourself time to pause and ask yourself how you feel. It did push me out of my comfort zone, out of the serious character traits that I have.
My third word was activation; for the last 2.5 years before 2021, I had so many ideas, thoughts, and businesses that I have wanted to do, yet the activation just wasn't there. I would let the fire burn out, nothing would come from all these ideas, and that is where my leadership struggled. Coming into 2021, I had huge plans, goals, and ambitions, and I knew I had to keep myself accountable.
I needed to give myself a bit of a different tactic on motivation. I've done the work and the research, and it was time to activate it. This was a game-changer for me.
Anytime I felt stuck or stagnant, or if I needed to dig deeper, I would say no, we are activating and take messy action and messy movement to see what sticks and pivot later. This was a catalyst for me to move through my ideas.
Vision Cast Your 2022
This is my permission slip to you guys to dream big and if you so dare to walk into 2022 with expansion, joy, and activation being any of your words, allow the fullness of those words to take over and be ever-present in your life.
If those words don't resonate, I encourage you to spend some time before the new year and reflect on 2021 and what you called in and how it shaped you. Sit in silence and see what words pop in.
Cast a vision for 2022 and see what lands for you and be open to receiving the massive amounts of abundance that are about to flow into you and are already on the way to you, be ready and allow yourself to welcome it in with open arms.
Thank you so much for being a part of my creations, vision, and what I am growing into, your support, encouragement, and love. I am so grateful for all of your support.
You are not meant to do life and business alone, and I would not be where I am right now without you.
You know the drill, I rise, YOU rise, baby, let’s go….
